ABOUT EBSA

Specialists in the systems that make facades move.

EBSA is an Australian-owned specialist in commercial window automation and architectural glass louvre systems. We work across design, system selection, controls, integration, installation, commissioning and lifecycle support — connecting the operable facade element with the building systems that make it work.

Our role is not simply to supply equipment. It is to understand how the complete system needs to operate and help carry that technical intent through the project.

AN AUSTRALIAN SPECIALIST

Built around the complete operable facade system.

A motorised window or glass louvre is only one part of an operating building system. The opening geometry, actuator, mounting, field wiring, controls, sensors, operating logic and interfaces with the BMS, mechanical and fire systems all influence how the facade performs in practice.

EBSA has developed around that complete-system view. Our two core commercial disciplines — Commercial Window Automation and Architectural Glass Louvre Systems — are supported by controls, integration, project coordination, installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance and technical support.

That breadth allows the same technical questions to remain connected as a project moves from early design into construction, handover and ongoing operation.

OUR STORY

From Brisbane beginnings to national project delivery.

EBSA was founded in Brisbane in 2011. The business developed from an early focus on ventilation into a specialist operable-facade company as demand grew for better natural ventilation, smoke-control and automated facade solutions in Australian commercial buildings.

Over the years EBSA expanded its technical capability, product partnerships and project-delivery resources while establishing offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The company now supports projects across Australia from early design and specification through construction, commissioning and ongoing service.

The EBSA brand also expanded internationally, with EBSA New Zealand launched in 2018 and EBSA Canada in 2021. Each market operates around the same specialist focus on technically demanding operable facade systems.

HOW WE WORK

One system, understood across every interface.

Operable facade systems cross traditional trade boundaries. A decision made at the window or louvre can affect actuator force and stroke, cable requirements, control architecture, zoning, software logic, access, commissioning and the way the system communicates with the rest of the building.

EBSA’s approach is to keep those relationships visible. We work from what the facade and building need to do, then coordinate the equipment, controls and interfaces required to achieve that operating intent within the project scope.

The value is not any one component in isolation. It is understanding how the components and interfaces work together.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITY

Knowledge that stays connected as the project develops.

EBSA brings together the disciplines needed to support complex operable facade systems: technical sales and estimating, design and system selection, project coordination, control-system engineering, installation, field cabling, programming, commissioning, maintenance and technical support.

The value of that team structure is continuity. Information developed during design can inform project documentation. Installation issues can be understood in the context of the control strategy. Commissioning can be carried out with knowledge of the equipment, wiring, interfaces and intended operating sequence.

That connected knowledge is especially important on projects where the facade, electrical, mechanical, BMS and fire-system packages meet at the same operating element.

SPECIALIST TECHNOLOGY

Proven platforms, backed by local system knowledge.

EBSA’s technology partnerships provide access to specialist systems developed for demanding facade and building-automation applications. The technology platform matters, but so does the local knowledge required to select it, engineer it into the project, coordinate the interfaces and support it through commissioning and operation.

D+H MECHATRONIC

Window automation and control-system technology used across natural ventilation, smoke-control and integrated building applications.

SCHNEIDER LOUVRES

Architectural glass louvre systems developed for commercial facade applications, including automated and large-format configurations.

These partnerships support EBSA’s two primary commercial disciplines while EBSA remains responsible for translating the technology into a coordinated project solution.

PROVEN IN PRACTICE

Technical capability demonstrated on real buildings.

EBSA’s work spans complex commercial, education, health, civic and other major building projects where facade design, automation, controls and building interfaces need to operate together.

The strongest proof is not a list of products. It is the way the system is designed, coordinated, installed and commissioned within the architecture and operating requirements of the building.

Project case studies show how those decisions come together in practice — from the operable facade element and actuator through controls, interfaces, commissioning and handover.

WORK WITH EBSA

Start with what the facade needs to do.

If you are designing an operable facade, resolving a window automation or glass louvre application, coordinating controls and interfaces or reviewing an existing system, tell us what the project needs to achieve. EBSA can help identify the appropriate technical pathway.
